Physicians As Entrepreneurs: Making the Leap and Making it Work

This location is shown only to members

Physicians 2.0 NYC Has Begun!

Thanks to Steve Merahn, MD's leadership we have our first event that is focused on Physicians, by Physicians, and for Physicians.  Last year we kicked things off with Shark Tank to drive innovation.  I am happy to say, Innovation is rampant in NYC.  One area that could use more development is the Physician Perspective on Innovation, so Physicians 2.0 was born.

Thank You Steve for Taking this ball and running with it!

Physicians as Entrepreneurs

This Event focused on helping physicians understand and explore the world of innovation and entrepreneurship, and is designed to help healthcare professionals who are currently considering, or want to know more about, being more entrepreneurial in their professionals life. Being an entrepreneur is not just about creating new technology, but about taking risks and initiative outside the established boundaries -- physicians entrepreneurs can focus on products, systems and services, or even create 'mashups' between their personal interests and hobbies and their professional lives.

For this Meetup, we have assembled three experienced physician-entrepreneurs who have balanced more 'traditional' medical careers with commitments to innovation and entrepreneurship. They will share some of their experiences learning and managing the opportunities and challenges of working in these worlds, and lead an interactive discussion with the audience.

Come to this Meetup if you consider yourself an entrepreneur in any way, or if you want to establish yourself as one...

And, if I may reverse-spam the list, I'm looking for a primary-care doctor and practice who understand that the timing of my appointments is not a HIPAA matter and know how to use email for administrative matters.

Reverse Spam is fine Esther, though, of course, I would always recommend my doctor finding site for you :)

Does anyone want to play the "Find me a Chief Medical Officer Dating Game?" If so please apply my contacting Steve Merahn or I and we will set it up during this event so you can be Bachelor #1 or the Bachelorette in a little 15 minute segment that should be fun.

Would have joined you any other night, but with Richard Thompson playing an all request night at City Winery it's not going to happen. Have fun, all.
